French fries are crispy food. It means deep-fried potatoes. Homemade French fries are very healthy, and they are also tasty and flavoured with garlic salt, onion rings, paprika, and salt. Serve with all sauces.
Otherwise, if you are going through the process of making French fries at home, you may as well make the best-tasting fries possible. This includes choosing the best oil for frying and the best technique to fry at home.
So some ingredients are ready for French fries. Let’s go!
INGREDIENTS
- Potatoes (same size
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Tomato sauce
- Garlic paste
- Ginger paste
- Red chill powder
- Cooking oil
- Egg
- Baking powder
- All-purpose flour
How to Make French Fries
- First, choose the potatoes. All potatoes should be the same size because the same size potatoes fry evenly and look beautiful. Then, take a large bowl, clean all the potatoes with cold water, and slice them into the same size. Use a clean cloth to dry all the potato slices so there’s no water left, and set the bowl of potatoes aside.
- When the potatoes are dry, take a large bowl with the potato slices and add salt, black pepper, tomato sauce, garlic paste, ginger paste, and baking powder. Mix well with your hands so that all the potato slices are evenly coated.
- Add one egg to the mixture with the potato slices and mix well.
- In a large bowl, mix all-purpose flour, white flour, salt, red chilli powder, and enough water to make a slightly thick batter that can be drizzled.
- Drain and dry the sliced potatoes, then dip them in the batter.
- Heat a medium frying pan with enough oil for frying. Wait for the oil to heat up. Fry the potato slices on medium heat, not high heat. Carefully place each potato slice into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 9 to 12 minutes. Frying them in medium hot oil gives the best results.
- Once all the potatoes are fried, turn off the gas and remove them from the oil. Place the French fries on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Finally, serve the fries on a dish with all types of sauces like tomato sauce, salads, etc. Serve hot and enjoy the meal.
Store
French fries can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Do not store them in the deep freeze. Do not reheat them in the microwave; use the oven, air fryer, or gas stove instead.
TIPS AND TRICKS
